Default Need Help IDing this guitar!

Hi folks - first time posting.
I need help identifying this guitar. Appears to be late 80's perhaps. Please let me know what you think.

I'm a huge ESP fan, owned several but I've never seen that guitar before. Have you had it apart? Maybe you might find something with the neck off? It says custom on the headstock, maybe it was a special order and it was built in their custom shop? I've always heard that the ESP people were easy going and really good people, maybe give them a call and they can tell you something.
